I have never taken the time to write a review on a restaurant, gym, salon, etc., but my experience on Sunday at the 24 Hour Fitness Sport in Hollywood has prompted me to take the time to get a City Search account and warn people about the sub par service/ angry employees they will be faced with should they choose to sign up for a membership there. Due to a stolen credit card, I had to update my account info at the front desk. When I was given the updated paperwork to sign, I noticed an unfamiliar fee on my account. An employee named ""Big Mike"" was called over to help ""assist"" me--if being condescending, rude, and unhelpful is what you wold call ""assisting"". Big Mike's real name is Michael Grey, for those of you curious would-be members who are exploring gym membership options. And the only ""big"" thing about him Sunday morning was his bad attitude. When I politely let him know that I had never seen this charge before on my monthly bill, and I was wondering where it was coming from, he said, ""Well, that's good for you that you don't think you've ever been charged that amount, but that's what we've been billing you. If it's not showing up on your statements in the past, I guess you're lucky."" Excuse me? After a frustrating 5 minutes of trying to explain I had no idea why the charge was there he finally looked at my account and discovered--surprise!--that my parents had originally been billed for the charge I was disputing. When I changed my credit card info both amounts accidentally got transferred to my card. It wouldn't have taken more than 30 seconds for him to dig a little bit deeper to find this out at the beginning. Nor would it have taken any time at all to be pleasant, friendly, and helpful. To all those looking for new clubs to kick off their new year's resolutions: think twice about this location.
