Review content:
Meremec Caverns is located in the middle of nowhere. That's what made it a good hideout for Jesse James and his gang according to local legend. The tour takes you through many beautiful rooms and is not very difficult for a cave. Still, it can be difficult with small children or if you have trouble walking. The tour also does not change over time. I went in 1984 and in 2004 and heard what seemed like the exact same tour. It does take an hour or so, so everyone go to the bathroom. Food is also available on site including old fashioned ice cream.
