Review content:
The Phillips collection is a drop-dead gorgeous assemblage of art. You will not find this anywhere else in the world. Even the traveling exhibits from this collection are just a teasing sample of the sheer volume of beauty that is here.
It might just be that I'm a sucker for Renoir, not to mention Whistler or El Greco or dozens of others whose names escape me. Maybe that's it. But I really think that even if you think "art" is stupid, you'll find something beautiful here. This is one museum in DC where I don't mind paying to get in.
