This Theatre is housed in a small non-distinctive building on North Gilbert Street but their style and quality of productions leaves no question as to the talent of this theatre group.
Offering many and varied theatrical productions, they are most notably recognized for their annual RIVERSIDE THEATRE SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL held each summer on the banks of the Iowa river in City Park.
Productions of note in the past have been "Much Ado About Nothing", "Small Miracles", "the Drawer Boy", and "Big Love" to name a few. the SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL is generally held from mid June through Mid July but to be sure you should call ahead for tickets and for directions.
Parking can be a bit tricky at times with this troupe but if you once again plan ahead you will find you will have a wonderful evening in hand when you leave the entertainment to RIVERSIDE THEATRE!
