Review content:
I used Aura Laser Spa for tattoo removal treatment. Stacy was my technician and she is wonderful! I was scared to death and she was very patient and did a great job. She works fast, and gets you done very quickly. I do wish I had taken the time to get the prescription for the numbing cream though. I do not recommend doing tattoo laser sessions without it unless you have a high pain threshold. Numbing cream will eliminate the pain and make your session go super fast, without any hassle at all. The older the ink, the easier it fades. And dark ink fades easier than light. In fact, certain very light inks unfortunately will not fade at all. However, if you need the tattoo gone, laser will certainly make a huge difference in its noticeablity, taking even a very vivid tattoo down to a barely-noticeable level. Note that you will have to treat the area like you would a severe burn, as the laser pulses do burn your skin. Change your bandage daily until the blisters disappear. Tattoo ink can take anywhere between 2 and 10 sessions to disappear, due to ink depth, ink ingredients, and width of ink lines. And keep in mind that your tattoo will continue fading for a full year after each session, so if you aren't rushed you could do a session a year, and the body will be slowly flushing ink away the whole time. Or, if you really are under a time constraint, and need to have it removed ASAP, you can do sessions in 8-week intervals. Personally, I'm going the annual method as I'm pleased with how much fading has happened in the 4 weeks since my (only) session. Research the internet and read everything you can on laser tattoo removal. Even the dubious information and blatant sales tactics will give you information. Then meet with a few technicians until you find one you're comfortable with. Aura's location at 183/Anderson Mill is super convenient in northwest Austin. In summary: Laser is painful and takes time. Do it only if you NEED the tattoo gone. Please use the numbing cream. :) Pros: Convenient location, friendly technician, free parking, relaxing lobby, frequent specials.
