Review content:
Plantation Inn fits in that category of low-priced hotel rooms in the area such as Sugar Bowl, Red Carpet, A Bear, Holiday Motel, and Lake Houmas Inn. It is by far the best of those. There is a nice lounge downstairs off of the lobby, The lobby itself is rather clean and inviting. The room prices are reasonable and the rooms are always clean and everything works. I have had to stay in this hotel because of a hurricane for a few days, and it was actually a pleasant experience. It is your basic necessity motel, no frills at all, just a clean room and a cushy place to sleep, which is more than I can say for most of the aforementioned places.
