I took my first trip to The Deck last night. The weather was a little yucky, so my crazy sprint across the full lot was not so great. Once inside we were greeted by an older gentlemen, I later learned he was Jeff, the owner. He explained there would be a brief wait and they were pretty busy due to an article written in Epicurean Magazine and a groupon offer. Of course I knew about the groupon offer, it was what drew me there! I took a seat at the bar and met Ian. He was really great! We had the margarita with the candied orange tequilla. YUM!!! He told me all about the cocktail menu and suggested that we try the crab dip. It was also really good! We took a seat in the dining room, really cute with photos of people at the beach all over. It took a little while for our server to come, she was obviously busy. We tried the fried fish tacos and the tuna tacos. Both were served with some smokey tomato sauce that was delicious. We both agreed the flour tortillas were the best! While we were eating the owner came over and introduced himself and asked about our food. We told him it was really good but that it had taken a while to come. He explained the groupon thing and said they were a little busier than anticipated. It was worth it. I look forward to going back and trying some other things. I am glad there is another reputable fish taco place in town though:) Pros: delicious margaritas and fish tacos Cons: service a little slow
