We were hesitant to try this restaurant at first due to the location - in the shopping center across from Walgreens, next to a gas station, hair-braiding salon, and laundromat - but we got past that and we're so glad we did. The food is excellent. Very authentic Mexican food. Excellent Enchiladas Verdes, fabulous Barbacoa, delicious Quesadillas and Sincronizadas. They also have some dishes that I've not seen before, and which are very good, like the Quesadilla Con Papas (small, crispy, puffy tortilla shells filled with mashed potatoes and cheese) and the Torta Don Pedro (a jumbo sandwich filled with yummy stuff). The owner, who usually waits on us, is very friendly, and he is always genuinely glad to see us. He always brings a little plate of 2 Chicken Taquitos with our chips and salsa, which is a nice extra and yummy to munch while we're perusing the menu. The place does a slamming lunch business - they have a buffet at lunch Monday-Saturday. We go in the evenings for dinner and it's much calmer, but we'll probably try the buffet on a Saturday soon. The ONLY thing missing from this restaurant is an ABC license. I love to have a cold beer or margarita with my Mexican food, but this food is so good I don't miss them, and it helps keep the bill low too, as the prices are very reasonable. Please try Taqueria El Rincon Huasteco, aka The Huastec House, and support this local Holly Springs restaurant! You'll be so glad you did! Pros: Delicious food, fast and friendly service, clean and nicely decorated
