Review content:
Sad to say, but we are totally unhappy with David Brake's pool service. He has poked holes in our canvas awning with his pole and never told us about it nor offered to pay for the damage when we confronted him about it, he returned our phone calls at first but then stopped returning our calls when we called to complain about an uncleaned pool, does not show up and/or does not clean the pool yet bills us for it anyways. So, our pool has remained unvaccumed for several days at a time causing stains in the plaster.
We took the water samples to two other storefront pool places who have thoroughly tested the water and confirmed the pool was far out of balance (we have a salt water pool). After giving him copies of the water reports he went into total denial and was trying to tell us the water was fine and that the two pool places were wrong.
We have fired him and are going with a recommended pool service company here in Palm Springs that has a "storefront" that you can go to and see someone in person if there is a problem; instead of the pool guy who hides behind his cell phone.
It is just too bad because he seemed like a nice man and we trusted him to do a good job. But obviously that was not the case.
Pros: Inexpensive, nice man
Cons: Does not clean pool thoroughly, does not return calls, causes damage around house
