I had a 3 year contract with Waste Management. 2 months before the contract canceled, I called to cancel and they told me I am locked into another 3 year contract already because I needed to cancel in a certified letter 90 days in advance of the contract canceling. Since I was only 60+ days in advance, I have to pay 6 months of billings plus $100 can removal in order to get out of the contract. This information was not disclosed when I signed the contract. (it may have been in the fine print) I'm going to have to pay but you won't get caught like this if you pay attention now friend.

Cons: lock you into bad contracts
