The owner and what seems to be the only employee of the company is Jose Cosio. He makes a great first impression, however you should save your money, and not fall for the first impression.
I hired Jose through Service Majic, intially i had him give me an estimate to install a surviellance camera system, however that was too expensive. I decided to get the system on my own through Costco for $1000.00. Jose said he could install the system for me for $850, which was reasonable.
He took a look at the system i bought and told me he could get a better one. He asked what my budget was and i told him a $1000.
00. Sure enough he found a system that only costs $999.99. I checked out what he was thinking of purchasing and found that i could get it on my own for $625.00. Ultimately i went with my own system.
The worst part was the installation. I told him from the start i wanted the wires concealed on the outside, which is not hard to do when you have an attic space. He drilled 8 holes into my house, for the 8 cameras, but after doing that he realized that the cameras couldn't be positioned right over the holes, so he would have to install the cameras below the holes, thus leaving the exposed wire.
His fix for that was to cut into my stucco and make a large gash to fit the wire into, oh, by the way he expected me to pay to have the holes re-stuccoed. When my stucco guy came by, he told me the wires will have to be in junction boxes before he can stucco.
I called Jose back to tell him, and he said, yeah your right i was just going to call you and tell you that. He came back put the boxes up, and i paid $200 for stucco work.
In the end i would never hire this guy to do anything for me. I told him that he needs to stop respresenting himself as somebody that knows how to install cameras, because he doesn't know what he is doing. I would have been better to pay the guy $50.00 and have him put a dot on the house where i should install the camera, and then pay my electrician to fish the wires thro
