I have attended at least 12 monthly auctions and they are well attended. If it's an extremely nice day attendance is down, and prices are better with fewer bidders. The selection of items is from A to Z and you must go to the preview on Friday before the Saturday auction. The staff members are helpful but very busy on that day, moving items to the center stage getting the free luncheon ready, etc. The lunch items are not gourmet, but it's a generous "free lunch". There are also free miscellaneous sized boxes and some packing materials available. The coffee is always on, and dozens of free donuts are available at 0800. They still go quickly. The comment about "Rob" is inaccurate. Anyone who attends the auction knows him...he's always there. He has rarely bid on the items I bid on. He buys a LOT of really inexpensive stuff that no one else bids on or wants - only a thrift shop could use it~! I don't recall that he's ever bid on high-end items. My wife loves the estate jewelry I bring her, and it appraises for much more than I pay at this auction. Almost garage sale prices for items from estates that don't want their parents' things. I highly recommend it. If you get "bit" by the auction bug, you can understand why there are regulars that attend almost every month.
