Behind Ohlone College rises Mission Peak, a beautiful hiking area that offers a view of the bay and the surrounding hills after a short two hour hike to the summit.
Though one may encounter a few cows on the three miles to the way to the top, the trail is not usually otherwise crowded, and is particularly enjoyable during the spring, when the rains turn the grass green and even occasionally bring a few wildflowers to life.
