I stopped in just to browse and was shocked to see the highly invasive Oriental Bittersweet being sold. This exotic vine is very aggressive, chocking out host plants. I also hybridizes with and outcompetes the native American Bittersweet, which is protected under Michigan law. A worker asked if I needed any help, and I said no, but that I was surprised to see such an invasive plant. She gave me a weird look and simply walked away. I also found extotic Japanese Barberry, which is often planted as hedgerows, but often escapes and outcompetes native shrubs. See this website for information on invasive species. http://www.invasivespeciesinfo.gov/index.shtml I will not be buying anything from them and will be contacting them in hopes that they will pull these exotic species from their shelves.
