Review content:
It was beautiful, quiet, and peaceful...all in all a great escape from the real world. The cottage was very comfortable and had all the necessities (a small but well equipped kitchenette, gas grill, cd's and dvd's, reading material, outdoor shower, jacuzzi tub for 2, access to a hot tub near the owners home, and a beautiful deck for watching the stars). There is also a small "stargazer's room" perched on a hillside a short hike (including a crossing on a suspension bridge) from the cottage. We watched the sunset there one night, but didn't make it over there at night to use the telescope. We visited during the dry season so didn't get to see/hear the waterfall and creek.
While the cottage shares a property with the owner's home, it is very private. The hosts are there if you need them for anything, but are very respectful of your space if you want to be alone.
There are many wineries within a 20 minute drive of the cottage. We did a day trip along the Pacific Coast Highway and visited the Armstrong Redwood Park (very scenic). We loved the area and hope to visit again.
