Review content:
Avalon is an Aveda salon. Having tried Aveda salons in the past, I like the cuts, love the product, hate the color services (nor is this exclusive to Avalon). While I know that Aveda believes in natural treatments (which is part of the draw for me), I've never met a stylist who strays out of the "natural is better conformity" to give me the color I actually want (and I'm not talking anything outrageous-- just blonder highlights). This holds true at Avalon sadly. The cut was good and reasonably priced, but the color, while reasonable in price, just wasn't what I wanted (and I showed pictures). Sales pressure was a little more than I care for as well. On the up side, I like the atmosphere and the spa setting for the spa treatments (which I DEFINITELY recommend). I have a tendency to return for waxing and manicures, but not for hair.
Pros: Prices are good, staff is friendly, good cuts
Cons: Didn't like the color service, parking may be a problem sometimes
