What a great find! My fiancé and friend have gotten locked out too many times. When my friend got locked out while house sitting, the neighbor rescued her by climbing over the fire escape through the bedroom window. Eeek!
Enough!
I feel a little like Goldilocks (hehe) and the Three Bears:
1. While I was still out of town, my friend made a copy of our key at the local hardware store right down the street. Lo and behold, it didn't work. Not at all.
2. Then I took the key to Home Depot, where they weren't able to make a copy for me because they didn't have the right size key to carve.
3. I used my iPhone’s google map and found Lightening Lockout Services & Security. I called and they sent out a locksmith technician in 15 minutes to change my locks given that the keys had been lost so many times and who knows who had a copy of keys to my apt. I explained the situation, and within 25 minutes, I had 2 new mul-t-locks and new key.
Next time I need help with anything to do with locks or keys, you can bet I'll call Lightening Lockout Services & Security
