Businiess name:  Dr. Joanne Herrman, MD
Review by:  Shelley G.
Review content:
Good: Dr. Herrman is very polite, friendly, and even humorous. Her staff is also considerate. She is also very gentle during the examination.. Bad: She asks how you are doing but doesn't really listen much to what you have to say. If you are looking for anything other than the standard medical protocol then go somewhere else. When I tried to discuss some problems I was having and the use of natural supplements and therapies, she immediately got a stiff, condescending smile on her face almost as if she pitied my ignorance. If you are happy to take home a prescription for the latest drug, then Dr. Herrman is your woman.. Improvements: Dr. Herrman, as a doctor for women, really needs to read up on and embrace alternative therapies for her patients. She is overweight herself and would probably benefit from some in-depth nutrition courses. I think women my age (43) are tired of being told they need a prescription or that their problems are psychological. Preventive medicine seems to like such a better choice than trying to treat the illness once it's out of control.. Other: I am moving soon, but if I were staying in the area I would look for another doctor who will listen to me..
