My heart goes out to the lady who lost her Beagle from Bridges. Last winter my wife and I bought a very expensive $895 Boston Terrier from Bridges Pets in Lake Stevens. When we went in to look at her a really dirty disheveled red haired lady was there bringing in more Boston Pups. Based on her filthy condition we should have run for the door. She had dirt caked under her nails and she stunk and was dirty. Her pups were scooped up by staff to go have a bath and we were told to come back later. We did and we chose a little female pup. We got her home and she had severe diarrhea and slept all the time. She did not play like you would expect a puppy to play. We called Bridges and we got the royal run around. We were told that coccidia and diarrhea is common to most pups. And that they had just changed it's food so that could be the reason that the pup had diarrhea. She never got better and when we took her to the vet we found out that she had a very contagious parasite called giardia ALONG with the coccidia. We called Bridges and talked to Donna, Julie and Theresa. They all gave us the run around and would not cover the vet bills incurred by this poor little diseased pup. AND they would not give us a refund or let us return the dog. They finally paid us a tiny amount that only covered one of the Rx but it was so stressful trying to get them to help us out. The dog has had nothing but health issues ever since we bought her. The vet said that the giardia is so contagious that any dog even visiting the store could easily become infected. AND we saw lots of people with their dogs walking around in both stores! Nothing was done to warn people of the risk. I would never never ever buy a single thing at either store. They had more excuses for why the dog was sick and why we should cover the costs. What an insult! Obviously they deal with bad breeders. That filthy lady also told us she had English Bulldogs,French Bulldogs, and Bostons at home. She is obviously a puppy mill. And they claim to be Christians at Bridges. Right!
