I took my Toyota in complaining of transmission problems. They said the transmission was fine, but in their standard overview of the car, listed a ton of things that needed attention. One item they mentioned was extensive brake work required. I declined any of the work since the car was old. I had the brakes done elsewhere. Only the pads needed replacement, the cylinders and rotors were fine even though High Road claimed they needed replacement. A few weeks later, my transmission went out completely stranding me 30 miles from home (the same transmission High Road gave a clean bill of health).
