If you live in the Dracut area and are looking for a place to take your young kids, check out Veterans Memorial Park. The park is located on Rt 113 (Broadway) behind the US Post Office.
The park is clean, well maintained and very young-child-friendly. There is plenty of parking, too.
The main attraction of the park is the sprinkler area. It consists of a rainbow type structure in the middle of an area with more sprinklers coming from the ground around this part of the park. There is a nice grassy area to set down your things and spread out a towel. There is also a covered area if you'd like to stay out of the sun. Tables and benches are around to use if you're looking to have lunch there as well.
On the other part of the park there is a play area. It consists of two structures for climbing with slides. It also has a few swings, two infant swings and two regular swings. The swings are often very crowded and you may need to wait to get a turn.
There is also a Walking track if you're looking for a safe place to walk for exercise. The track is not usually crowded, and is a nice surface to walk on.
With plenty to do and it being so easy to get to , Veteran's Memorial Park is definitely worth checking out!
