Review content:
I met Dr. Main at Mills Peninsula hospital while scheduled to receive an amniocentesis. I have been diagnosed with pre-term labor and on bed rest for the past two months. I was 36 weeks and four days when Dr. Main was rude and refused to follow my OBGYN's orders to perform the amnio. He stated that he would not do the amnio until I was 37 and a half weeks pregnant. He did not listen to me or to my symptoms that I have been experiencing, including contractions, lower back pain, a huge amount of pressure, dizziness, swelling, spotting, and nauseousness. He did not care that I was scheduled to receive this amnio for quite some time and was desperately counting the hours of the days. When I finally arrived to my appointment I laid in bed for two hours while being hooked to the monitor just so that he can come in and accused me that I am tired of being pregnant! He directed his conversation at me while ignoring my husband. What an insult!!! He then told me that the baby had a chance of being in the NICU and that at 37 weeks pregnant the change decreased by a huge amount. I was only 3 days away from 37 weeks!! I cried so much because he did not listen to my concerns or the pain that I have been feeling. I felt as if he had wasted my time. I was very disappointed.
