Review content:
It has admittedly been a few years since I tried Photography by Glenn, but that's because my experience there was a bit disappointing. The photographer was very good at working with my children (we had an appointment, but once a month he has walk-in days for bargain photo packages) and we got dozens of proofs out of it, and almost all of the poses would have been usable. The prices were rather steep, but about what you'd expect from a private photographer. However, my disappointment was due to the prints we received. The photographs were digital, though of an extremely high resolution, but on the prints we received you could still tell that they were -- the shadows were a bit bluish, and the prints were overall very gray and as smooth-looking as a film print would be. I called to complain, and they dealt with it very politely (he knew my complaint about the color before I even said it) and re-printed the photos. I was still unhappy with the color of the prints but they dissuaded me from requesting yet another set. In the end, I felt like I'd paid far too much money for only so-so photographs, so I don't plan to go back.
The prints on display in the lobby at the time were largely on canvas, which hides some of the pixellation of digital photos. And they had no doubt put in quite a bit more time getting the color right on those. So I know you can get good work done here if you're willing to continue to demand it, but for me it's not worth the effort.
