2/12/07 last week, i called a repair representative at the local Pep Boys to set up an appointment to have my wheels aligned and to have my oil changed...I was told that there weren't any appointments because they were short of staff. i was told that it's "first come first serve" basis. Well, this morning, i arrived at 8:03am and was the third or fourth person in line. i talked to the representative at the front desk and asked him how much time it would take for the job. The gentleman told me that there was an appointment (at 8:30am) ahead of me for that particular maintenance job (wheel alignment). He told me that the job before me would probably take an hour. I told the gentleman that i would then wait...I waited in their waiting room until 11:30am. I noticed that my vehicle was now parked in another place. So guessing that they had finished the job, i approached the counter to close the deal. I was told that the wheel alignment hadn't been done. At that time, i figured i'd take a taxi around town, trying to buy them (and me) some more time. At 1:30pm, i called another repair representative who checked on the job and stated that it was not done and that it would take 2 hours or so... I returned to Pep Boys at 5:05pm ready to get my vehicle and try to salvage what was left of my day. I was told that the alignment was not done and that the mechanic "forgot". The representative that i talked to (I will leave his name anonymous) then went over to his assumed supervisor and told him that the job had not been done. The supervisor (in front of me) told him to take care of it and he would "handle the rest". The anonymous representative then darted out the back door. I then left out the front door in attempt to stop the representative from getting in the vehicle. I thought by this time i could still make my 5:30 appointment. However, the supervisor calls me back in and states that if i bring the vehicle back in another time, he would give me 30% off on the wheel alignment. I then proceeded to stopping the representative from driving the vehicle to the maintenance area. I then waited until someone would print a receipt and return my car keys... 5:27pm, i left Pep Boys...didn't make the appointment...
