Review content:
9 months ago I got my third pet from the shelter. The first two are now 11 and 12 years old. Sam, the last one is about 1 1/2 years old.
I took Sam out thursday afternoon about 1:00 pm, and kind of stumbled down the back stairs. I lost the hold on the leash and he went walking down the driveway to the street.
Well, he had never been loose before and i was worried. He didnt know about card, kidnappers, and the like. I drove around the neighborhood for about 2 hours looking. He loves to go for rides and if I saw him and opened thje rear door on the station wagon he would come running and jump into the back.
About 5:00 that afternoon I called the shelter and left a voice mail. The next morning I calledf again and spoke to Barbara. She said there was a voice mail about a dog hung up on a leash behind the carrage house at 67 south water street. Thats about 2 blocks from me.
So I went there, looked, called sam by name, but had no luck. So I came back home.
Later that day, two NHPD officers came to the door, and i looked out and there was sam being held by one of the officers on his leash. They had an almost empty box of dog treats that I assume sam had been helping himself to.
Well I took the leash and said thanks to the officers but i thought i would write this thank you to the shelter and the officers.
I guess they have better luck finding subjects that I do because they found him where I had looked that morning.
Again, thank you to new havens finest, because sam may be the best one yet.
