Southern California's shoreline offers fun in the sun to suit every style, whether you want to people-watch on a busy boardwalk or you seek the solitude of a hidden cove. Parking is often hard to find at Newport Beach Pier in Orange county, but the reward of a peaceful afternoon searching for small seashells and watching the waves is worth the effort. The beach is clean, the beach goers are friendly, with a variety of store and eateries nearby.
This would be a glorious way to spend your Valentine's Day together. Do you need maps? Contact your local AAA office and ask for one.
