Review content:
If you’re looking for more than just deals on Christmas decorations, Toys ‘R Us is a great place to visit after Christmas. They start marking down clothing and toys (sometimes up to 50%). I have six nieces and my own children, so this is a great time to start stocking up on birthday presents for them (as well as gifts for my “stash” when unexpected parties come up) for the upcoming year. In previous years when I have visited their after Christmas sale, I have found toys that were originally priced at $39.99 marked down to less than $10. The clothing is usually seasonal items (either holiday apparel or winter clothing). If you can estimate the next size up for your child or you have a baby on the way, this is a great time to stock up. Their holiday items are 70% off. In the past, I have been able to get holiday wrapping paper for .01 and holiday DVDs for $1.
This year they will also be offering:
*20% off on toy boxes and organizers
*Buy One, Get One free on Crayola, VSmile and Leap Frog Leapster products
*Buy any DVD, get the 2nd 50% off
*Buy 2 Thomas the Train items, get the 3rd free
*Buy 2 value boxes of Pampers, get a $10 Toys ‘R Us gift card (I have found that their prices on boxes of Pampers are the best anyway when you use manufacturer’s coupons as well)
From my experience, Toys ‘R Us is typically not one of the first after holiday destinations for people, so it is usually not very crowded if you go when they open. You can also view clearance items on Toysrus.com. They offer free shipping on many items and if your order is at least $30, you can use the Google checkout to get $10 of $30.
