You are so lucky Heather T. that you didn't have to wait but a few minutes in the waiting room at your ER. Every time I have gone to the ER here, I have had to sit for at least two hours just for them to call my name to see the Triage nurse. Then after he/she takes my vitals and asks what the problem is (the second time I had to give this inforamtion) they tell me to wait in the waiting room. That is a minimum of one hour (never has it been just one hour) before they call me into the ER room. I don't like to wait!! The last trip I made to the ER, I waited in the waiting room alone (there were no other people waiting to be seen) for 2 and 1/2 hours. When I finally got called to the ER, I had to wait another very long time for the doctor to make his way in. I have never left the ER in less than 3 to 31/2 hours. I would hate to know that I had a relative in critical condition that had to wait that long for help. God knows you could die before you see a doctor.
