Businiess name:  Magnolia Hi-Fi

Review content:
I've been buying from the Magnolia Hi-Fi chain for over ten years. I don't buy expensive electronics (TVs, receivers, DVD, speakers, etc) elsewhere. The reason why is, I bought an expensive receiver from their Beaverton (Oregon) store a long time ago, and then suddenly moved. After the move, my receiver didn't work. I called the Bellevue store up, they looked me up and told me to bring it down. I did, they tried to turn it on, and simply handed me a new one they'd put behind the front desk for me. Five minutes of them tapping serial numbers into the computer and I was done. I go back regularly, and have tried the other stores, but Bellevue, and especially Duane, keeps me coming back. He's been there forever and has a very loyal "clientele". The reasons are that he'll ask you the relevent questions, even suggest you draw up your room, and make suggestions and tell you why. He'll talk you OUT of spending more than you need to, even if you were planning to. And if you ask him to give you a discount, he will - a "prestige sale" or something like that. It can be a pretty decent discount, just for working with him. Which means, of course, that next time you go back to him again, so I'm sure it works out for everyone. Even though Magnolia is "owned" by Best Buy, I've had lousy experiences (and hard return issues) at Best Buy. I have only positive experiences at the Bellevue Magnolia.
