Review content:
Rooms are either beach view, pool view, or street view. I stayed in the beach view room. Although I was on the "non-smoking" second floor, I smelled smoke constantly. Smoke blew into my room whenever I had the balcony door open, the second floor (non-smoking) hallway smelled like smoke, the front desk smelled like smoke.
This place is incredibly noisy. Don't try sleeping in or you'll be woken up by the man using a leaf blower on the shuffleboard courts.
The staff is rude and unhelpful. I called from the airport to get directions and received directions that were wrong. I called again after getting lost and the desk attendand was unhelpful. The car rental staff at Tampa Airport had a better idea of where this place is than the staff. Asking for extra towels merits a wordless scowl and grudging compliance.
The fixtures were rusty, the tub was covered with soap scum, and there was black mold on the back and underside of the toilet. I caught and killed two cochroaches and two moths in the room.
This place was awful, yet fairly expensive.
