If you have $$ and not much time, go to a dealership's shop. If you don't have much $$ (like most of us) and can leave the car for a whole day, try Holman in EP. He will fix what you want fixed and not give you that old line of - well you have to also fix this and that and etc, etc. running up the bill. Agreed, he won't spend lots of time talking to you, reassuring you or chat about the weather. That is what the dealer's service manager or greeter does. He doesn't charge for a diagnostic and gives you the options. Fix A now for $$ or fix A and B or fix B only. He changed a bulb for free as he fixed a fuel problem and warned me of the leaking water pump. Fix it soon as it will get worse but no dire warnings of being stranded with an overheated engine if I don't do it now. The down-side? You need to call him to get the status of your car, remind him, get estimate, etc., he is just too busy and tends to forget. If you want peace of mind and someone to take away all your car problems, go to the dealership (or buy a new car with a warranty). I am satisfied with Mike Holman, quirks (humor?) and all.
