When we lived in Okeechobee, FL the only place you could buy everything you needed without driving to the coast, 45 miles away to Ft. Pierce, the Super Walmart was it. It just so happens to be the closet thing to us where we are living in CO Spgs. I shop there because I can get almost everything I need. We use the pharmacy there if we have a prescription that is a one time fill. In this store, their vegetables and fruits look better than some of the other grocery stores produce, not to mention, they are less expensive. I buy Sam's Club water by the case which is cheaper than any other bottled water, yet still tastes good. I buy all my paper goods, laundry products, a lot of knock around clothes, computer supplies i.e. paper and my printer ink which all are less expensive. I will buy canned goods, packaged food products, things like butter, eggs, milk, cheeses there because, again, less expensive. The only thing I do not and will not buy there is my meat products like ground beef, roasts, chicken etc. I buy all of that at Safeway. In FL we did not have access to a Safeway and I bought those items at Publix. We've even bought auto tires and had our oil changed at a Walmart. This store here, all the people that do work there seem to enjoy working there and are extremely friendly compared to when we lived in FL. It just might be that "they ARE" friendlier people here and has nothing to do with it being Walmart.
