I dont understand the hype of this place..
We went here for a friend's bday, and we were a party of 8. We made a reservation for 8:30 pm on a friday night, and two of our friends arrived 10 min early and they were told they could not seat them until all the party arrived. The rest of the party arrived exactly at 830 pm but we were not seated until 9 or 910 pm. Why even make a reservation if they are going to keep you waiting anyway? When we asked what was going on, the hostess told us that they were waiting for another large group to finish their meal so they could sit us at their table!. The hostess did not even look at us and did not apologize for the wait, and we were made to stand in the entrance for the whole 30 min, in the way of all the waiters and diners, very uncomfortable. When they finally seated us, the service was quite good, but the food was nothing to rave about. The lasagna had a very strange hard clump that was just disgusting. The Rindergulash was disappointing, (I mean gulash is supossed to have some spice and paprika, it was just sad). The Porchetta was underseasoned. The fetuccine nero had two minuscule scallops and then pasta lacked salt and pepper. All the dishes were bland, and for the price I would have expected something pretty good, it was NOT. The deserts were average, nothing extraordinary either. The place is nice and cozy, but the tables are too close together. The best thing of this restaurant was the Bossa Nova music.
