The National Hispanic Cultural Center (NHCC) is the only national cultural institution dedicated to the study, advancement, and presentation of Hispanic culture, arts and humanities. Since its grand opening in 2000, the NHCC has staged over 22 art exhibitions and over 400 programs in the visual, performing, and literary arts. The NHCC provides venues for visitors to learn about Hispanic culture throughout the world. When complete, the NHCC will occupy 52 acres along the Camino Real in the historic Barelas neighborhood of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The National Hispanic Cultural Center Foundation was founded in 1983. The NHCC Foundation is dedicated to raising the funds necessary to complete the construction of the NHCC, supporting the NHCC's programming needs, and building a legacy for future generations.
