This credit union has some of the best rates in town for your savings accounts and loans. They do seem to charge more for fee items if you use a lot of special service types of things so make sure you get a fee-schedule from them. I really like that they have online banking available and that they offer you a small discount on loans if you have the payments automatically debited from your account. I have had a couple problems with the bank, but they were quick to take care of them -- the check company they use got our address wrong on our checks and they forgot to have us sign one line on a loan we applied for so we had to go back in and sign a bunch of the papers all over again later. If you are going to talk to someone about a loan on a Saturday get there right as the branch opens at 9am or you will be stuck there waiting for hours and hours! If you go during the middle of the week try to avoid peak traffic times like close to the lunch hour or you'll have similar problems. One plus is that all of the lines move fast if you do have to wait (the one exception to that rule is the wait to meet with a loan officer because people usually have to talk to them for quite a while).
