Review content:
I get to try out different Mexican places with my group of friends for lunch. Where my family always goes for Mexican every time (for the past 10+ years in fact) is Casa Fiesta on Bell Rd.
Yes, it's very busy.....because it's GOOD!
If you go frequently, I believe you'll find you get seated quicker when the crowd is big.....but maybe it's because our family is a large family and they want to get us out of the way fast? We've always gotten excellent service.
Once we were seated next to a group that had had too much to drink before they got there and were using a lot of fowl language...louds as the meal went on. I finally had to speak up and ask for another table. Rather than make us move, the staff had a talk with the rowdy guests and asked THEM to control themselves or be asked to leave.
Here are a few tips I have for new Casa customers:
FAST - AVOID THE CROWD - STAY IN SWEATS!
Because it is often so busy, and my tired husband doesn't want to go out after working all day, but does want to eat great Mexican food....I call our order in for carry out. Our food is alway ready in 15 minutes, which means it's usually ready about the time I get there. Call them at 731-3918.
WANT IT YOUR WAY?
They are great about making adjustments and substitutions. My husband always requests his side plates to be a certain way. My daughter doesn't want fries with her kids meal because she loves their rice, so we always substitute rice instead of french fries for her.
NOT TOO EXPENSIVE TO FEED THE FAMILY!
When you buy your 2 liters of soda at the grocery and make your own drinks at home, the cost of a great meal for your family is not that much more than going to McDonald's or Arby's.
VERY CURTEOUS STAFF!
The staff recognizes us and greets us. They even greet my son with down syndrome, "Hola Amigo!" and LOVES the attention and will answer back the same way. They allow him to give his order even if they need us to clarify because his speech is not always easily understood. He's treated with great respect there.
WHERE TO PARK
Parking is tight on the hill in front, but check down the hill around on the right side of the building for a spot or they have more parking up the hill.
HOW TO TURN LEFT ONTO BELL ROAD
Do NOT endanger your life trying to turn left onto Bell Rd when you leave!!! It's much faster and safer to go around to the back of the building which curves around between the motel and BP.....and turn right onto Cane Ridge....and let the light at Bell and Cane Ridge get you left onto Bell without having a wreck. I've seen WAY too many bad wrecks between Home Depot and Cane Ridge!
MY KIDS LOVE THESE KIDS MEALS:
Hamburger Meal - with or without cheese
Hot Dog Meal - hot dog in tortilla, then fried
Grilled Chicken - my daughter substitues rice for fries
She wants to try the chicken quesadillas next.
MY HUSBAND WILL ONLY ORDER ONE THING:
Chicken Fajitas - the best we've had ANYWHERE!
MY OTHER FAVORITES:
Beef Chimichaunga - MMMMM
Burrito Supreme
WATCHING YOUR CARBS OR DIET?
Have the chicken fajitas, skip the tortillas and side plate or give them to your husband.
VEGETARIAN?
Their Vegetarian Sample is awesome too!
WE LOVE CASA FIESTA!!!
Dine in or carry out - you gotta try it!
