Review content:
Back in September 2001, I went to work for a convenience store this company owned in Alexandria, LA
I jumped right into the fray. as 9/11 was my second day at work, and we were running wide open selling gas
I worked there until February 2002, and I worked thanksgiving, Christmas, and new years.... one of the other ladies took the whole month of December off, so I was working 60 hrs a week, minimum, and many by myself.
loved the overtime
I cut losses on gas drive offs.... once they ripped me off, the next time they would come in, I would not authorize the pump until they came and asked why, thats when I would remind them they still owed me from the last gas they stole.
go back and read the post I closed the place down for more information.
I busted my butt.... worked when they needed, came in early, stayed late..... we were the first store you hit coming into town from the south
I was there an hour past closing one night. 5 minutes before closing, I had a couple motorcycles come in, well dressed guys on high dollar Harley-Davidson...
they bought gas, and some cokes, and snacks, and asked if I was gonna be open awhile.... there were 50 other motorcycles coming into town for a rally...... they had driven from Houston.
yeah, I will hang around a few extra minutes,.
that turned into an hour, and $700 or so worth of gas, sandwiches, hot coffee, chips, candy, cokes, beer, etc, in sales.
all of that didn't matter... I got fired, because a minority customer called. She was upset that I was working the store alone, had 10 people waiting to check out, and I did not immediately drop everything, and make her a pizza!!!
this guy owns a chain of convenience stores in North and central Louisiana called STOP N SAVE
please remember he is supposedly Christian, but he fired me, then I had to even go to court after I got fired, to prosecute a gas drive off.
oh, yeah, I was the ONLY one that worked that store that successfully got a prosecution
thats gratitude for ya!!!!
