Review content:
I believe the name of this business has changed. It's now called "Little Greek". While I never knew of the business during its tenure under a previous name, I am almost positive it's the same because they are at the same address, both are delis, and the names are similar. I don't live in Alexandria yet, but am moving there in two weeks. My husband and I currently live in Baton Rouge where the Greek and Lebanese restaurants are plentiful. On a recent visit to Alexandria in search of a home, I noticed the the Little Greek restaurant. Later, when both of our stomachs were urging us to find a place for a late lunch, I remembered Little Greek and we headed there. Mmm, it was good! My husband had the gyros sandwich and I had the chicken shawarma pita pocket. Both were very tasty and very fresh. We were both so excited to find a place in our new city with great gyros and we will be frequenting it often. I also heard the lady sitting behind me speaking VERY fondly of their falafel. They have other traditional dishes such as hummus and baba ganoush and more, all of which I hope to try soon. They also had pizza and sandwiches, including muffalettas, but you would be silly to miss out on the great international cuisine!
