Businiess name:  A Dog's Life

Review content:
Think of your worst case scenario for taking your pet in to be groomed and multiply that by 10. After dropping my dog off for a standard bath and grooming appointment, I arrived home several hours later to a message stating that he had been cut by a groomer's tool and was currently being attended to at the Chicago emergency pet care clinic. Upon arriving there, I learned that several hours had passed before he was even taken to the clinic. A Dog's Life had both a home and cell number but only left a message on the home number almost 2 hours after he had been taken in to the clinic. I have no idea how he was transported there or what was done to provide immediate urgent care to him. After several hours, my dog was released after having been sedated with a cut several inches in length requiring numerous stitches. Unfortunately, he has developed an infection from the experience which required another immediate trip to the ER on the 4th of July. The owner is refusing to pay for this treatment which included X ray and blood test to determine the cause of his problems. After contacting the owner several times, she still refuses to pay stating that it isn't her fault he got sick as a result of his treatment. This is appalling and unacceptable. I would not consider this a reputable place of business and feel sick that I had entrusted the care of my dog to such a low-grade establishment run by uncaring owners. Do NOT take your pet here.
