Fareway is BY FAR the best place to buy FRESH, Healthy, and DELICIOUS meat! No dyes! All meat is packaged right there in front of you AFTER you order it. I have NEVER gotten a cut of meat that I did not like once eaten. (Can't say the same for any other grocery store around Cedar Rapids)
The minute you walk in the store, you can tell they sell fresh meat, as you can smell it, but not in a bad or stinky way, it smells GOOD!
Once back at the meat department there are always at least 5 butchers there to package up your meat and/or cut it to your specifications. They are the friendliest bunch at this particular Fareway!
Sales - Fareway has some GREAT sales for meat and all other grocery products. I check their ads weekly!
Produce Department - FRESH fruit and veggies, firm tomatoes, ripe bananas (not those green ones that you see at other stores), VERY SWEET corn, CLEAN Vegetables!
They have everything you would find at a regular grocery store. Oh, and when you pull up and it looks like they are being slammed with customers, don't worry, you WON'T wait long in line! They are quick and efficient! They will call more checkers up as soon as they see the need.
Definitely check this store out, YOU WON'T REGRET IT! I PROMISE!
