Review content:
Yesterday my daughter and I took the opportunity to check out "Ruggers Cafe," the new restaurant which was just recently built in North Liberty. This cafe is located at 420 Community Drive. It is situated behind the US Bank off of Highway 965. We had a wonderful meal! We arrived around 11:00 a.m. and so it wasn't very busy yet.
Seating consists of your typical tables and booths, but it does have some outdoor seating as well. In addition, a private "party room" is also available. There is even a countertop with stools where you can sit if you just want an ice cream treat.
The menu has your typical "American" fare with burgers, chicken, homemade soups, and fresh pies. My daughter choose the chicken tenders kids meal and I had a french dip sandwich. The portions were huge! My sandwich was large and they gave me a choice of french fries, coleslaw, or baked beans. Prices were reasonable as my sandwich cost $7.95.
We really enjoyed eating here and plan on coming back. My only suggestion is that they currently do not take Discover credit cards. I use my Discover card everywhere. That aside, my daughter and I give this place 2 thumbs up!
