The Rathdrum Public Library is having a summer reading program, it's FREE, and it for children as young as pre schoolers all the way up through high school. This year's theme is : PAWS, CLAWS, SCALES and TALES. Registration is the week of June 12th - 16th. And then the classes start the week of June 19th and run through July 28th. Each class meets up once a week, either Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. There is an afternoon class and a morning class so that one will easily fit into your schedule - you pick the class that's best for you! When you sign up your child, they receive a book bag and pencil. As well as a sheet to keep track of the books you read with them at home, you bring that to every class and they earn stickers on those sheets as well as other prizes! My son will start school in the fall, so I think this is a great program for him to participate in!
