Review content:
The pool is amazing!!! This YMCA location has the most amazing pool with waterpark-worthy waterslides that empty into two deep pools. There is a separate pool dedicated to the younger crowd - the water graduates to about 18" deep and there is a waterslide, sprays, swings for infants... The little ones have the hook-up :) My 3 year old loves coming to this YMCA pool because he has so much more to do than at the other YMCA pools, where he is not yet big enough for the slides. The lifeguards are attentive and watchful. The water is clean and the chlorine doesn't bother my kids' eyes as much as some other pools we've been to.
There is a refreshment stand outside selling soft drinks, chips, hot dogs and other snacky foods. If you forget your towel, sunscreen, or just need a swim diaper for your little one, these items are available for sale at the entrance.
Inside is a game room complete with video games, foosball, 2 billiards tables, air hockey, ping pong, and a seating area with cartoons - all free!
I haven't used the other amenities at this facility yet, but I have checked out the child care room and it is very nicely equipped.
My one complaint about the pool area is the bathroom/dressing area - it is small and they need to install benches to have a place to put your things while you change.
