Businiess name:  BioFuel Oasis

Review content:
Biofuel Oasis, funny though this sounds, is my favorite gas station EVER. The one downside is that they don't yet make enough to expand their hours, which as of this writing are 4-8 sunday through thursday, by appt. fridays,, and I think 12-5 Saturdays... so the wait can sometimes be long. It doesn't take long for one car to fuel up, but when an RV or a big truck pulls up and fills a giant tank and a couple of carboys with biodiesel, it's... a long wait. The bright side of this is that inside, they have a red velvetty couch and a variety of snacks, drinks, and books for sale. They often have other things like "Un-Petroleum" lip balm, lunchboxes for camping that are pots and pans and stuff all together, and bamboo tableware. And, of course, all the newspaper articles about biodiesel and community bulletin board postings. Best of all, there are often free mislabeled energy bars or free squares of Scharffen-Berger chocolate, donated by the owner because he loves what Biofuel Oasis is doing. The business itself is run collectively, which is especially awesome, and they have been known to let people volunteer there in exchange for a cheaper price on the fuel. At the moment it costs $3.60 a gallon, which is veering between "comparable to" and "a little more than" regular gas, depending on the day and the gas station. Personally, I will happily spend a few extra bucks on fuel in exchange for not polluting, especially when I'm driving down the freeway looking at the hazy, smog-dimmed Oakland hills nearby.
