You're still driving? Well, I guess everyone can't fix their lives up so that they're totally car free. Oh well. In that case, hopefully you're driving a happy little fuel-efficient number. A Honda hybrid or a Civic perhaps? My ex had a Civic and whenever it needed some checkin' or fixin', we brought it to SF Honda, which is a crazy huge operation on Van Ness. It's expensive. But the way I figure it, they're not ripping you off and they do a great job, so unless you know a mechanic you trust, you're probably saving money by not getting ripped off.
