Review content:
This school district comes highly recommended by area parents. But I have to admit I was disappointed when we relocated to the area and began my oldest in 2nd grade here. The reading program in place at the elementary school is good. It really focuses on all levels of reading. However I feel the suffer losses in the arts department. My child attended music or art EVERY other week. That is not acceptable. The administration isn't the best about communicating with parents either. Make sure you jump in and get involved so you can keep up with what is going on.The buildings are in desperate need of huge upgrades. School lunches are outrageous prices. Still, looking over in Mobile I see we have much to be thankful for. There is FEEF to add money into the struggling budget. And all BC students enrolled in HS can attend classes at Faulker State for free. Pretty good deal. I hope they continue to offer more...
