Review content:
I have been seeing shows at OTB for a number of years and I have mostly been pleased. Thier dance and theater selections are generally the only game in town if you want to see out-of-town cutting edge dance and theater. I am a big fan of thier regular season. Thier NWNW series is a bit hit or miss in my opinion. I am sometimes confounded as to thier selection criteria (disclaimer in the interest of disclosure, I have applied for this series a number of times) but have found some real gems in each year that I have gone to the festival.
I am also discouraged recently at their inclusion of greater amounts of music in their season, I mean do we REALLY need more music venue's in seattle? There are few venues that produce cutting edge dance and theater in Seattle, I just don't see the need to give up this real estate for another 'ubiquitously Seattle' music venue.
