Caretaker Gazette is a subscriber newsletter (small fee) that matches property owners with caretakers to look after their homes (and often pets). Properties are diverse are located in cities, rural locations even abroad. Can give you and your family an opportunity to see and experience life in another town, city or country. You'll definitely want to read this publication if you're seriously interested in doing this--there is more to it than meets the eye. Taking care of someone else's home can be wonderful, however, it's a HUGE responsibility--especially if pets are involved. Just think what you'd want someone to know about your home and property. However, taking up residence elsewhere for a short period can be an adventure and could save you some bucks. Some postings are for lodging in exchange for chores or pet-sitting.
