My husband and I recently used a gift card we'd received for Christmas to Longhorn Steakhouse. We won't be going back. My so-called sirloin steak was riddled with gristle and fat. My husband's porterhouse was barely a quarter-inch thick and far, far from the medium rare he'd ordered. Both were swimming in what we were told was "lemon butter" (for beef??!!) but no matter what you call it, you can't disguise or change plain old grease.
The side order of asparagus was quite a disappointment too - three tiny spears, cooked to death with no seasoning at all.
The worst thing about the experience was the 90-minute wait to be seated (hard to believe anyone there that night was a repeat customer).
The cool decor and nicely chilled beer is hardly compensation for the incredibly bad and grossly overpriced food.
