Safeway is pretty clean and mostly friendly. I have to complain about the strong perfume/cologne smells of some of the checkout people. A couple of them give me asthma issues--and it's offensive to me. I am very happy that they have a natural foods section. Although it is small, they do have items that I need and appreciate. I very much appreciate the organic items they have added to their line. It increases my shopping list for them. The pharmacy is always friendly, but sometimes it is quite a wait. I love the gas discounts that you earn--and also the free espressos and subs you can earn. I do think frequent buyers should get a reward now and then. My son loves the "car" carts they provide for children. Not all of the staff is super friendly, but most are pretty good. I had made a special request for an item. Nobody ever responded to me--although I did finally hear of them carrying the item two years later.
